HELP!!!!!

OK, so here is the deal.  My 5 year old son has taken an interest in some of my G/U cards lately, and he want to get some of his own.  That is not really a problem, because I have some scrubs that I can give to him.  But...I had the idea to do something really cool for him, and make him his own 1/1 g/u card of himself.  I actually had this idea back in February, but I pretty much sucked at making on so I quit.  Now he is interested in them so I am revisiting the idea.

This is where I need help.  Back on Valentines day one of our faithful brethren posted a triple relic date card  he made for his lady (NJ Turnpike ticket, Bennigans napkin ring, and a Rutgers t-shirt...I think).  He offered to help me out but I declined at the time.  Well now I am ready to recline....and take him up on his offer if he is still willing.  The only problem is that I am a big dummy and do not remember who it was.  If you have any clue as to who made the "Date Relic" card, please please please help me.

My 5 year old and I will send a few cool cards to the first person who can correctly identify the "Date Relic" creator.

Thanks

A Winning Streak Has To Start With A Win!

Greetings!  I am back...I wonder if anyone noticed I was gone?  I have had a pretty wild last few weeks, but I am back!  Just a few of the events of the last two weeks include me starting a new Job, helping to care for my mother-in-law who fell and fractured her pelvis, and helping out with my boys T-ball team!

My beloved Orioles SUCK!!!  But on the Bright side they are riding the high of an outstanding one game winning streak!  Beginning at 10pm tonight, they look to stretch it into a two game winning streak!

Just a few notes tonight...I sent some cards out to the "Don" over there at My Pastime....I Love It! on Thursday.  We haven't decided what Senior Ortega will send me, but since he was "2009 Trader of the Year," I am sure he will do me right!

My son is now a professional t-ball star, and after his last Saturday practice, Topps was at the park with a booth set up promoting the Topps Attax game.  Well, daddy couldn't be more proud, My kid was the first to play, and he kicked the Topps' guys butt!  He really did have fun with it, so on the way home, we went to target to get him some more packs, and he got this...
A foil Nick Markakis!  I say to him, "That's Daddy's favorite, can I have that one?"  Do you believe the rotten little son of a gun said "No!"???  After some intense negotiations, I got my Markakis card, and all I had to give up was $3.00, Ice Cream, and agree that he could skip his bath and stay up and play instead.

And finally, about two weeks ago I got my half of a second trade with the Pack Addict and he did good by me yet again

A terrible scan bu he sent me a bunch of cards for my team sets, and even a few '69's
I am working on scanning a lot of inset cards to make available for trade, so hopefully I will post those soon.  And If you are waiting to hear from me for a trade or otherwise, I will be working tomorrow, but I hope to send out a whole bunch of emails this week, to get caught up with everyone.

Until next time....

Mike Cuellar has passed away.

I am sad to say that an Orioles pitching great has passed away this evening after losing his battle with stomach cancer at the age of 72.  Please follow this link to read more Foul Bunt

Allen & Ginter....What Do I Do?

Greetings sports fans!  I am as happy as everyone that an end has come to the absolute ambush of baseball products.  We went from some, to a few more, to some more, to a lot more, to WTF is going on-where did all of these new sets come from, to a few less, to a few more less, to last year's version of less, to what looks to be a manageable total number of releases this year!....I think.

Which leads me to...My wife says to me "Hey Dgreen1899 form Drinking The Orange Kool-Aid,"  that is what she usefully calls me, "I am making your Easter basket and I want to put some packs in it, do you want to go to the card store and pick some out?"  Did I ever mention that my wife absolutely rocks!?  Well, we went and there was nothing there that I wanted.  Due to a lack of new products...nothing excited me, and for the first time in my life, I went to the card store and didn't buy ANYTHING!

Now, I am longing (yearning even) for a fresh new product.  When I started writing this post, I was considering, but now I know what I must do...START COLLECTING 2010 ALLEN & GINTER! (when they are released),

I will build the base set, the Lords of Olympus, the Monsters of the Mesozoic, the Greatest Wordsmiths, the National Animals, the Sailors of the Seven Seas, the This Day In History, and  the Baseball Highlight Sketch Cards sets.

I will want to trade, and trade, and trade to work towards completion.

I will try to convince my wife to give me a rain check on the Easter basket packs until the A&G come out.

Now I am excited!
